The BFI Oddball Challenge

It was the night of the Thames Festival so the south bank was heaving, freerunners leaping off of walls, funfair stalls wrapping around the living sculptures bemused by the action..

The BFI was equally busy with the film makers who had worked so hard to get a film finished in 24 busy hours. I asked most teams how much sleep they had had: the most was a full nights kip from some organised outfit, some were too tired to answer but all made wonderful short films..

The If Club

The if club is a collection of characters who like getting out into the world to present any kind of guerilla media, film, music or event. Characters such as the great Dez Mondo who took techno music to the Americans on the famous zippy tour of the 1990's, Johnnie Oddball who can direct a movie for 200 quid, Dom Reid and Stuart Sutton who started out making underwater video on small desert islands, Larisa Dizdar our in house Guerilla photographer, Janus Avivson, the hard man of Guerilla film making, Andy Greenhouse the man that took British film back to Cannes with his Cannes in a Van...
